Joe built his first frame, a chromoly road race bike, in 1974 under the tutelage of the famous Albert Eisentraut. Since then, frame materials have evolved to aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber, but steel - three times stiffer than aluminum and twice as stiff as titanium - will always remain the benchmark. Steel is the original bicycle frame material and has a ride quality that makes your bike sing. The 2013 Venturi is the first hydroformed heat-treated chromoly road frame in existence. It has more tubing per frame size than any other bike out there, and it rides like it has a life of its own.
