Be Safe! Here at Breezer we strongly recommend street riding skills education. It's no "accident" that our CEO is a Certified Instructor under the League of American Bicyclists' BikeEd Program. Many local cycling clubs and advocacy organizations sponsor the League's Road I and other courses. Go to the League's website to learn more.
Learn Street Riding Skills! With every bike we sell we include a copy of Bicycling Street Smarts by John Allen. This wonderful little book cannot take the place of a formal class taught by a certified instructor, but it includes very important basic information. After you've mastered the skills in John's book, pass it along to a friend or buy a copy for your cycling buddy. Even the most experienced riders learn something from Bicycling Street Smarts.
Be an Ambassador for Cycling! Joe Breeze wrote a section for the Marin County Bicycle Coalition's website on responsible riding. In it Joe refers to California road laws, but cycling etiquette is appropriate everywhere.
